Clinical CareYour Kentucky Health Cooperative has processes, policies and people in place to insure that its members receive the required services to appropriately manage their healthcare. From reviewing the services its members receive, to providing programs designed to help better understand, monitor and manage specific healthcare needs, your Kentucky Health Cooperative makes every effort to provide our members with timely and appropriate healthcare services.
Concurrent ReviewIf a member requires a service over a period of time (an in-patient admission or home health care, or out-patient therapy as examples) our Concurrent Care Review (CCR) nurses conduct routine reviews to assure that the services that are being provided are timely and appropriate for your specific care.
New TechnologyHealthcare is constantly changing, evolving, expanding. There are new medications, new uses for current medications, new procedures, new treatments and new devices being evaluated and put into use. It is the goal of our “New Technology Committee” to thoroughly investigate these changes in health care by researching current medical literature and medical practice and thoroughly discussing the findings. By this process KYCH makes every effort to determine how new advancements can be included in our members’ benefits, ensure our members have equitable access to safe and effective care and ensure awareness of changes in the health care industry. If you are aware of a specific new procedure, medication, treatment, or device, and would like us to consider covering it please send your written request to the Chief Medical Officer at Chief Medical Officer Kentucky Health Cooperative, 9700 Ormsby Station Road, Suite 100 Louisville, KY 40223.
