Formed in response to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Kentucky Health Cooperative, Inc. will be a member-governed organization dedicated to making health insurance available for all Kentuckians. We embrace an innovative health insurance model that keeps health care local, affordable and available.

Kentucky Health Cooperative offers quality, affordable health insurance plans for individuals and families and small employer groups in Kentucky. As a member-governed nonprofit, we will use any surplus we earn to lower costs or provide additional benefits for our members.

Getting to Know the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange (kynect)

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provides for the establishment of a health benefit exchange, or online marketplace where individuals, families and small businesses can shop for coverage, compare plans offered by different health insurers participating in the exchange. Consumers may also enroll in the plan of their choice. In Kentucky, this marketplace is known as kynect (pronounced "connect.") Information is available at kynect.ky.gov, and Kentucky Health Cooperative will offer Individual & Family and Small Employer Group plans on the exchange.
